Bordeaux

Bordeaux

A Poem by Audrey Rey
"

something from the upcoming book of poetry

"

That last glass of

liqueur

burned away

what was left of

those old calendar

entries,

smudged with cigarette ashes

            that I dropped

            so carelessly

while observing the

shades of nightfall

through the crimson

glimmer of wine.

I didn't want you to taste bitter.
