WILL YOU WAIT FOR MY HEART TO BEAT AGAIN?

I wrote this a year or two ago, when I had all those emotional problems and stuff, but dug it up a month ago and edited it quite a bit.

WILL YOU WAIT FOR

MY HEART

  TO BEAT

AGAIN?

 

 

I walk along the river's edge
Under the cherry blossom trees
I am one of the unfortunate
Enraptured by its beauty
Unbeknownst of the evil lurking beneath:

The darkness that lies dormant
Below its crystalline currents

In a quiet tunnel
Running along an endless path
Chasing a glimmer of light
I draw closer, and realize
It is nothing but the glint of a knife;

The shine in the devil’s eyes

 

This body hungers, yet I cannot eat
It still tires, yet I cannot sleep
When my heart breaks, I cannot cry

Torrents of emotions

Drowning in a raging ocean;

So tormented

So vengeful

So

So

So

Alive,

But

With

No

Author's Note

I actually wrote this a year or two ago, when I had emotional problems and stuff. I dug it up awhile ago and made some serious adjustments to it; I had fun with messing with formatting and such to make this all dramatic. I'd appreciate feedback even though I wrote this quite awhile ago!
