Among the Lilies

Among the Lilies

A Poem by C Mei
"

For a dear friend

"

Among the Lilies

Among the lilies does she sleep
While stars adore her elegance;
Across the heavens do they dance
And shine like diamonds from the deep.
And though the hours slowly creep
Upon her gentle radiance,
Among the lilies does she sleep
While stars adore her elegance.

A quiet company I keep;
Along the walls their shadows prance,
The ghostly poets trapped in stance.
But as I struggle not to weep,
Among the lilies does she sleep.

Lovely and longing. A quiet good-bye.

Some say I'm simple, others say I'm complex and difficult to decipher. On one day I could be here, on another I could be somewhere else. I suppose the only part of me that does not drift and wander ar.. more..
