Wrote it right after i got dumped..

I guess it shows how much you’ve taken from me

 

Cuz they keep askin’

 

I’m probably gonna relapse back to the clown

His smile etched to cover the pain

I didn’t even think it would be this hard

Or that we’d get this far

It was unexpected but welcome

Time passed and you seemed to fade

I tried to be bigger

To handle it, but you didn’t care

I shouldn’t say that, you did

You just failed to express it

And I seem to fail at everything

I guess I’m not good enough

Like I said, I’ll be a regret

I’m the world’s regret

That’s why they left, all of them

But I didn’t think you would

But I knew you had to

The future may hold a reunion

“Who knows,” as you would say

Who can ever know?

So I guess I’ll go back to the old me

That guy I hate

I guess I’ll relapse and lie some more

But I gotta tell em something
