Love

Love

Love is a feeling not found on first dates.

It is a war for which both people fought.

Whether falling in love by the good curse of fate,

or if being denied by the love that you sought.

It is good, it is right, it is warm, it is bright.

Love is a feeling never to digress.

It is never sleeping without dreams at night,

And it is the ever constant stress

Of wondering if anything ever is wrong

With the person you love because you strive to care

Love is a bond, unbreakably strong

Love is the nurturing that two people share.

Whether falling in love or falling out,

It is a feeling which no one can explain.

Love is the fighting through all of the shouts,

Love is getting through the horror of pain.

Once in love you hope to remain there forever

Because it is something that everyone seeks

And is a challenge that all must endeavor

Love is a virtue that the lucky find.

It is the best and the worst combined.

Love is a rebirth as the stars aligned.

Hmmm, this was as good a description as it get. Love isn't something that is easily defined, I suppose under those circumstances you captured it very well. This poem had a nice flow to it as well. Well written.
