Tendrils and the Flower

Tendrils and the Flower

A Poem by Attaxer

Every single time I do this
the loneliness creeps in
A tendril in my darkest hour
Most times, there is nothing to cut into that darkness.
Nothing to pull me out of that despair.

This time however,
There is a flower.
I will protect that flower as long as it lives.
Now I take a risk.

If she is the right girl, it will work.
If not... then the flower will die
and the tendrils will take hold of me.
I'm teetering on the edge between insanity and hopeless.

Her answer decides which way I'll fall.
The side of Insanity, gives me a new life.
A new chapter.
A brand new beginning.

The side of hopeless.
... well I don't wanna talk about what would happen should I fail.

Wish me luck.
