A flower named Janet (In loving memory)

A flower named Janet (In loving memory)

A Poem by Atomixla-key

A flower named Janet (In loving memory)

The gardens dance in dismay

The soil reminds them of unchained eternities

The petals sing by day

The stems quiver at the nights’ infirmities

Amidst the disorder, rose a flower named Janet

Holding ancient secrets in her hand

Secrets fold peace in one stride

Reminding us of happy faces in the sand

This flower adopted a broken bud that lay among the ruined

And taught it how to stand

How to bask in awe of sunlight

In spite of lone and thirsty lands

Alas, this flower has fallen

Leaving all she loved mourning in the garden

A kiss of life well stolen

To be returned where angels harken
