Fairies Dance

Fairies Dance

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

Rush through the glades,
Little one, to feel the warmth of summer days
(Far-off and far-flung)
Dripping with nostalgia and gaiety
And watch the sky fade to black
From blue to orange to purple
And everything in between
Only to alight again with scattered dust from
Tiny wings
Dancing, swirling amidst the mist
Performing their secret magics
Laughing and cheering as they go
Their wings a fluttering glowing shew
And small they are, folk of the trees
Hidden away, secret, in the leaves
Go closer, closer! And watch!
I assure you, friend, they are not imps.

Very well done from top to bottom. The images stand out but the key words: scattered dust from
Tiny wing/Their wings a fluttering glowing shew
And small they are, folk of the trees.

These add that character to it that adds imagination.

Like it.
