Viking

Viking

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

Borne of battle,
Battle borne.
Into the bloody world, cruel and old
I was shorn
By my brethren in arms
On wooden boat, with weapons and trinket, charms
Waved goodbye to the viking land
Prepared to make a stand
Against any and all
All and any
Dragons riding the waves
Onwards to glory
To Valhalla!
If I die
I take my place by Odin's side.
