A Quaint Discussion

A Quaint Discussion

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

Something nonsensical.

"
You are akin to the eagles
Or perhaps the dove
Wise, fair, powerful
Beautiful and innocent
As pure as virgin snow
Whereas I am dark and black
That scavenger; the carrion eater
Sometimes feared -
Misunderstood and yet revered
I am partial to the raven, myself.
