Technocratic Slavery

Technocratic Slavery

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

If the man makes the machines, what becomes of the man when he is rendered obsolete?

"
Bound by invisible static tendrils
Eyes affixed to the screen
Swirling, rolling, searching
For anything to get a high
W***e-house digital brothel
Wiring obscene
A parasitic network enough to send you lurching
Anything, anything! Just for a jack!
Need to connect
Automaton overlord
You are a slave to the machine
Overloading information attack
Electronic sensory misdirect
Not enough! Bombard!
Mechanical phosphene

Hooked to a computer
Biomechanical mutant
Slave to a machine
Synthetic parasite
Mechanical recruiter (draw others to the network!)
Unreal pollutant
Attracted, like flies, to a shiny digital screen
Unending appetite

Pull yourself free
Or suffer degradation
Or worse, being hacked!
A fly in the digital web
Become the expellee
Socio-evolutionary mutation
Escape from the mechanical abstract
Follow the ebb
You little slave
Slave to the machine
