ConfessionA Poem by Xanthous Crow
I love you, you know
Although you don't know it (Ignorance, however bliss, forced or feigned?) And I don't really know it, either But this feeling is so strong The mighty red lion! Clawing and howling at my heart! Yet, I can only watch and stare, Spellbound, like a child As you love someone else But I want you to be happy! It is all I can wish for you (If I cannot provide such happiness, myself....) Though, I do have but one wish As undying as a star, Far off and distant, But bright.... I wish you can love me, however slight, As I love you
