Boiled

Boiled

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

Shivers set in
And then the glands begin a-pumping
Pores vomit sweat

Muscles tense, ready to strike
As adrenaline rips through
The heart begins to roar

My mind goes blank - an empty nothingness
Red descends over my eyes
My blood becomes liquid fire
Screaming inside me

Everything drives me mad
Inching to the line, the breaking point
But my back also against a wall

You all just watch or stare
Snakes within the shade
Why was he so angry anyways?

Wonderously, intelligent, and as you know I love who keep describing the nervous system, the technique of the human body, science, and with all this brilliance, it's just a journey to take off, the ending is questioning... as it stays in beautiful thoughts of the reader, to explore.
