Ten

Ten

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

Not really a poem or a story. Just whatever.

"
Ten cuts for Chloe,
She was the one who started it all.
Nine for Chelsea,
The shapeshifter who had me mesmerized.
Eight cuts in the name of Eliza,
Fair, pretty, but bland.
Seven for Nicole,
Like Eliza, except more forgettable.
Six cuts for dear Antigona,
Exotic, wild and filled to the brim with insecurities.
Five for Christina,
Truly one of the most beautiful and unique I've seen.
Four slashes for Abigail,
The w***e who used me.
Give me three for Laura,
Who I discovered a little too early.
Two for sweet Jennifer,
Who I discovered too late. I expected more.
And one,
The deepest,
For the one closest to my heart.
For the one who's kept me in thrall for these years.
