Hard

Hard

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

For a friend.

"
You say that I'm cold, hard of heart
Armor made of ice, encasing something that was fiery
Emotionally stunted, indifferent to my fellow men
Uncaring as to their plight, or their misfortunes
Turning a deaf ear, or watching with cruel eyes
Staring a thousand miles away
A b*****d, selfish
Deserving loneliness, and insensitive
A husk of something, hollowed and empty
Why don't you understand? Is it that hard?
To see? The answer is right before you....
You're right.

From any other writer, that last line would not have been expected, though coming from you it somewhat was. Though I will not argue with you, I will say that I don't see much, if any, of those described actions and feelings in you. Although, that may be because we hardly speak and I do not actually know you. I usually like poems like this one, "confessions" of sorts, or maybe I should say realizations. Any word you want to use to describe it. Very nice write.

Who was this person? At least I never ever felt you that way....
Maybe he/she is right, but then still....
Don't petrify a person. (my opinion).

- Elisa nice one.
