I'm Happy

I'm Happy

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

,.,.

"
You sit and stare,
Spellbound,
Or laugh and joke,
Brush it off.
Just a phase you're going through.
Those damn hormones.
You don't really feel this way,
Give it a year, or two,
And it'll all even out.
My friends are gone,
They've all moved on,
Wherever they are.
And now I'm surrounded,
By toxic fools,
By people that say they're my friends,
But they don't act like it.
And I don't feel any friendship,
Or kinship,
Or anything.
You've threatened to bring in the police,
Or the ambulance,
Saying you don't understand.
No, you don't understand,
You don't understand,
I don't understand.
Why I feel this way,
Why there is this ticking time bomb inside.
Tick tick tick tick tick.
Tick tick tick tick.
It's getting ready to blow,
I feel it.
They're tying the noose around my neck,
And I'm standing up on the chair...
And I kick it away and let it all fall down.
Go ahead and point the fingers,
You all don't understand.
You think I'm a child,
A fool,
A moron,
A doormat,
But I see through all of you.
And inside, you're all hideous,
As am I.
None of you are ever happy,
For feelings are fragile, fleeting things.
But now I am happy
As the shovel fills in my grave.

I enjoyed this, but I will have to disagree that ALL feelings are fleeting. True loves can last until death, strong standpoints can be etched in your tombstone, complete and utter hatred can last a lifetime. Masking feelings are fleeting, yes, but true feelings can last forever and a day. Good write.
