Think for Yourself

Think for Yourself

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

Open up and let it all flood in.

"
It is hard
To think for yourself
These days
Increasingly so
With the candy glitter
And happy paint
Of the media
Designed to bring in
Moths
With neon colors
And bright lights
Why bother about
Unemployment
Or hunger?
Did you hear? This actress had another baby
And this one broke up with so-and-so!
And this one guy,
Boy, he's a hoot,
Actually believes
People are listening
Pretty funny,
Huh?
