This land of my birth, my home I've grown tired of the sights And the people, still But despite that I haven't seen all that this Land of my birth, my home has to offer I still long to go To cross steel-grey waters and sail to Distant shores I want to visit the abbeys of England And the sea-side cliffs of France I want to wander the hinterlands of Sweden And the black forests of Germany I long to brave the winters in Iceland And sit on Ireland's shores I long to see all of these places And more, still This wanderlust is powerful And cannot be shaken I long to see all of these places And travel and roam far And, perhaps, one day Return to this land of my birth, My home © 2012 Xanthous Crow |
