Gelid

Gelid

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

Autumn has disappeared.

"
Where has autumn gone?
It was here yesterday,
And has since disappeared,
Not even leaving the yellowed leaves -
The branches have just turned bare.
I do not like the winter,
However quickly or slowly it creeps by.
I hate the snow and I hate the ice,
They remind me too much of bad times,
And the names that you have called me.
The chill keeps me up at night,
Freezing,
As icy fingers stab into my skin.
It is oppressive and I cannot -
Help but feel trapped.
Locked inside this cage of ice,
Drowning in frozen tears.

This is splendid...
You did told a true feeling through
Your poem, full of fear, and desperate pain.
it is reality, and I like how you showed it here.

Beautiful metaphor, and the last line is something
Oh gosh, I know, but I don't tell ya ;)
