A Story by Xanthous Crow
"

Being the opinionated writer I am.

"
What is there not to understand?
I do not understand why you cannot
Grasp this!
It is all quite simple
You shouldn't fret over acceptance
Nor change yourself for others
Because, kid, the world'll walk all over you
If you allow it to
And, boy, I have to tell you
There are plenty of people that can't help but let it -
And sooner or later
The world leaves, with them trampled under foot
And, girl, don't worry about your weight
It is what is on the inside that matters
And if anyone calls you fat or ugly, well,
They're wrong!
They're the ugly ones!
I cannot help but feel pity, though
Towards the people that don't understand:
My morals are my own
Why should I compromise?

If you cannot get with the program
And, please, excuse me for being blunt
You can go to hell - or whatever you believe in
