Where Brave Things Dare

Where Brave Things Dare

A Poem by Xanthous Crow
"

For a friend, whom I love dearly; more than I love myself.

"

You claim you are brave, enough,

To see through the darkness, the haze

Upon the wrongs of society,

The black, wriggling things,

That crawl beneath -

But you wouldn't dare!

To glance where I stare,

At the death and gloom,

Where filth does bloom

So how could you see,

At all, let alone clearly?
