Importance of being Contemplative

Importance of being Contemplative

Finding why contemplation has become a frivolous thing...

"
The other day I was wondering…has the art of writing parables and allegories been lost somewhere in history…why writers like William Shakespeare or Oscar Wilde, are seen no more…why do we have an inclination towards stopping at ‘good’ why not reach ‘excellence’…suddenly my phone started shouting and I found my answer…maybe the phone was actually shouting the answer only, though I realized later…
So, this is what I found " I felt people have forgotten the art of contemplation…whenever a bad memory comes up or some bothersome thought crosses the mind, most just pick up the phone and call up someone and ESCAPE…escapism has become the most prevalent culture of this computer-age…Also the reason so less a people are interested in healthy literature…
Now to become contemplative or creative one has to remember every mistake one has made, every memory good or bad and live it again…and again…every step towards self realization ---- now this term ‘self realization’, whenever it comes up everyone connects it to spirituality. But self-realization means to ‘know thyself’ by trying to understand why the mistake was made…what made you act the way you did…now this is self-realization and not anything else---- this is the path to creativity and will help you achieve something new in any field you are in, be it business or management or teaching or even cooking…creativity can and will lead to new achievements…and as new experiences never end so will not the mistakes and guilt and will not THE ACHIEVEMENTS…
So try to turn that mobile of yours off for two hours during the day and contemplate…you might cry, you might laugh…but one thing is for sure…either you will stop saying your daily prayers, stop listening to these priests or will still go to the temple but NOT like a devotee who has endless requests and questions kneeling in front of him…but like a friend standing straight and confident, going there just to say ‘hello’ and ask HIM … “ how, are you today?”…and I think that your God WILL answer then…
