Pain, Pain, Go Away

Pain, Pain, Go Away

A Poem by NATO KRYVAVRY
"

A song written in the key of A

Verse 1:
A storm is brewing in this chest
But I could not identify
Why I'm still giving all my best
When something occasionally
Still makes me cry
Refrain 1:
'Coz the rain outside reminds me
I'm still trying to let you go
And the patter on my window pane
It reminds me I'm not sure just what
I'm trying to forget
But it assures me you don't regret
Anything
Verse 2:
I call your name when I'm asleep
And I wake up with an excuse:
Perhaps this pain that I'm still feeling
Could someday be put to good use
Refrain 2:
Yes the rain outside has failed to wash
Away the memories
Of how I never was the one
Who made you smile
It still haunts me like the ghost
Of the hope that died within this heart
Though I'd swear I hadn't seen you
In a while
Bridge:
Write your letters for the one
Who holds your heart
I just hope you never feel the way I do
(Single) Chorus:
While talking to myself
And seated in a bench for two
Alone just like before we met
And after your goodbye
Asking myself questions
I think I already know the answers to
Except that, without you
Oh I never get
The reasons do I

Author's Note

NATO KRYVAVRY
This one's a song I wrote in the Key of A. It hasn't got the "conventional" format but if it serves its purpose then that's the way it's gotta be.

I love the connection of rain. Its so real. The emotional pain isn't vague or hidden in the writing which is nice. Good job.
