It's So Sad It SeemsA Poem by Frank F. AtanacioWar has ended that dayThe reality of it would toss and turn, and the war memories would burn, it was all over, the ghost thought sadly, with a feeling of immense loss, he thought peace was false, war was retiring, the guns had ceased firing, families would no longer shed tears, there would be no more dark fears, world war ended that day, so the ghost just floated away from the haunted battle field, dropped his sword and shield, left behind the crooked willow, the flawed dreams, there would be no more blood filling the red rivers and streams, now the Garden would have silence, oddly, it’s so sad it seems. © 2011 Frank F.
