Green Apple

Green Apple

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

Adam and Eve

"

They were very new to sin,

Eve gestured with the apple

then tossed it to him,

she smiled while blinking,

Adam caught it without thinking,

his heart would rapidly begin to pound,

so he quickly sat on the ground,

and he sank his teeth into the plump,

green apple,

the treat,

was sweet,

tart juiciness spread across his tongue,

church bells rung,

he felt an immediate sense of distraction,

and for Eve, he had lost all attraction,

sin would coat,

and it pressed a lump in his throat,

she couldn’t help, and she felt strange,

she was out of range,

and at that moment, humanity would forever change.

very well depicted and described view of Adam and Eve. The flow of it was done exactly right for this type of poem, telling the story and it's intricacies. You took something well known, and made it your own.

Oh snap! Nicely done, Frank! Very well written, marching the story onto the page in true fashion. Very well done indeed!
