The Sun's Dim Light

The Sun's Dim Light

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

a drowning becomes a reality...

"

Gasping in depleted oxygen,

her face was bobbing in fear,

the water steadied death

and life signs were weak,

as she searched for another breath,

the rushing waves made it difficult

to see into the sun’s dim light,

no savior in sight,

no one around,

yet the water was full of sounds,

but no rescue attempt could be found,

the water consumed her,

and moments later, she drowned.
