Sorrow Came in Droves

Sorrow Came in Droves

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

a sad scene ...

"

The angels were shocked,

the spirits would glow,

right before them was an elaborate show,

on one counter,

small broken teeth on a silver tray,

and a little girl’s bloodied clothes,

laid out carefully in a graphic display,

the angels with horrified looks,

stared at the other table,

that had the girl’s book bag and school books,

sorrow came in droves,

as ghosts were hovering

over the dead girl’s clothes.

Interesting twist and ending.... Good stuff ...

A sad but these days all too common occurrence. Impressive imagery takes the reader into the room which combined with the atmosphere you've provided makes it even chillier.

Very sad, paints a tragic scene. Great job capturing the sad, tragic feel of a horrible act and the sorrow it brings.

Really dark and sad and brilliantly scripted, the angels point of view was brilliantly done. well done.

Ya know you could turn this poem into a short story from the angels point of view.
It would be a good opening for that.
