A SuspectA Poem by Frank F. Atanacioa suspect without a care in the worldA murder suspect, was a stone, solid to the bone, stoic mass without fear, not a single worry, not a single care, life or death, he could care less, he’ll stay quiet up to his last breath, without any sense of distress, without any rage, you could lock him in an animal’s cage, he’d quietly sit and turn the page, when questioned he would be vague, the suspect was a virus, he was a plague, and his venom would spread, and he wouldn’t care about the countless dead, he would offer no alibi, he’d laugh when the victims’ family would cry, and smile wide, and really has nothing to hide, innocent until proven guilty, the reason why, when he was made a suspect in the molestation and the murder of a child, never once has he lost his concentration. © 2011 Frank F.
