Her Delusion

Her Delusion

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

a woman suffers from delusions...

"

In the darkness a dim light would stream,

the door opened,

her voice rose almost to a scream,

a quick look of alarm

sprang up in her face,

she sensed the harm,

and everything was out of place,

she couldn’t wait for the morning,

as bells went off like a warning,

spirits filled the skies,

there were dark circles under her eyes,

and her cheeks were completely

destitute of color,

fear filled the air with terror,

hopelessness was gathering volume,

tumbling over each other,

then her mind would crash,

followed by a spontaneous flash,

her illusion, her delusion,

became the ultimate conclusion.

this is really good!! very powerful descriptions! and I agree, the last two lines really do standout - the combination of the internal rhyme and the words used!! nice!

Very interesting. Powerful and very descriptive. I absolutely loved the last two lines, they were very well written.
