She Would AbuseA Poem by Frank F. Atanacioa child abuse...Crawling all over his body, he felt the lice, his mother had him kneeling on a bed of uncooked rice, lack of sleep, and blood would seep, as he heard the angels weep, she read a passage from the good book, she read it twice when he didn’t look, his heart pounding wildly, sweat came in droves, the pain shook him, and his mind froze, abuse was ringing in his ears, death was calling, and he felt the fears, as the tears kept falling, he would rock like a rocking chair, and prayed to God, and wished he wasn’t there, she would abuse, and she’d fight the urge, but lose, she had a short fuse. © 2010 Frank F.
