Mayhem

Mayhem

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

what mayhem really looks like

"

Fear would run and hide,

so much mayhem,

a shooting or two on the East side,

emergency phone lines were all lit up,

robbery, murder all filled the demon’s cup,

race against race,

it was a hellacious place,

where the devil could show his face,

as a child looked positively angelic

hanging from a tree,

for all humanity to see.
