an unsolved crime leaves a detective reeling...

The alley was dirty
where the murder took place,
it was a b*****d of a case,
the dead girl’s clothes and belongings
were still being checked for trace,
emotions were wrecked,
as nothing looked promising,
an unsolved murder,
the little girl had left nothing more
than an earring at the crime scene,
tempers hit the floor,
and sanity walked out the door,
a little girl with an empty face,
an unsolved murder,
it was a b*****d of a case.

This is definitely captivating. I'm like the last three lines! However I'm not sure I'm convinced that this murder is unsolvable. If you were looking to improve it you could make it a bit longer by persuading us how unsolvable, and well.. how much of a b*****d of a case this is. Tell us maybe how they try to solve the murder, and how it doesn't work.. maybe how there aren't any finger prints left behind. You get the gist of it.

again...love the content. not often that I find a poem about a murder mystery or police investigation...it's refreshing. I like how this ends unsolved. really drives the frustrated mood you set home.
