Asphyxiation

Asphyxiation

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

Sufferage, old feelings

"

Death by asphyxiation,

takes only minutes,

and comes in different variations,

when every cell literally screams for air,

and the mind fills with fear,

horror could never compare,

and that it extremely clear,

after he left her bedside,

her face was swollen wide,

dark blue, and blood from her nose,

leaked out slowly like water

dripping out of a cheap plastic hose,

her hair in total disarray,

eyes gray,

twisted legs and feet,

fluids staining the sheet,

after exiting the quick trance,

he lost his chance,

he put the pillow down,

everyone walked in to see her,

her wish of death,

stalled, while he held his breath.

Bam! Loved it...great write! haha A little horror, suspense, mystery, and then love all rolled into one charmingly written piece. Good job.

Now this feels like some of the totally absurd pieces I have written. Intense and passionate...well written!

That is intense because in a way you could almost envision a hot love scene full of passion where the release was like death but in another way you could see the longing for death, it's amazing how much the two are alike. Great write.
