Die...

Die...

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

confusion, loss, sadness

"

Her gaze held his,

and he could feel her understanding

she would watch him die,

and not be demanding,

as a single tear invaded his eye,

she knew the reasons why,

after a moment her shoulders slumped,

she turned away,

his emotions were dumped,

as she had nothing else to say,

and he jumped,

the expression on her face

had changed from that of disgrace

to a frown of worry,

then reality hit in a hurry,

with a lowly sigh,

she slowly whispered,

die...
