No Tears...

No Tears...

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

Sadness, life-loss

"

After the assault,

her blood pooled on the asphalt,

some trickled into the cracks,

caused by winters past,

and the murderer left no tracks,

he sliced, probed, stabbed and left fast,

cars passing by,

but no one stopped,

someone even tossed a plastic bottle out of the window,

hit someone’s else’s windshield and then plopped,

right near the body,

of course they cursed at each other,

and that was it,

a young woman dead with a worried mother,

as cars simply gear

for the exit ramps,

no cares, no fears,

and lastly, no tears...

I'll cry for her. Such a sad world this has turned into. A good write with much thought behind it as well as within it. Kudos.
