Face Of RealityA Poem by Frank F. AtanacioWar, God, Death, Chemical WarFareGod clenched his fist, and then glanced around the battle field, tired eyes and aching wrist saw humans everywhere, holding their stomachs, and being poisoned by chemical warfare, rolled in fetal positions with moans so soft he had to focus on them to hear, and he wondered if death was near. Visuals racked his brain his eyes felt the strain, from far too many hours staring, wishing he could distribute a contemporary cure for the insane. Chemical Warfare? He couldn’t understand the human mentality, as he was staring in the face of the human reality. © 2009 Frank F. Atanacio |
