Living These Haunting Dreams

Living These Haunting Dreams

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

Drama, sadness, Loss, Crime

"

She had a moment of silence,

before the shot rang out,

she heard him call, she heard him shout,

as he fell to the floor,

crooks came in just to steal,

but murder became so very real,

husband dead,

life red,

wife screams,

forever,

living these haunting dreams.

I like this, its short yet has power and meaning especially in the last lines forever, living these haunted dreams. Of course the event of the murder is tragic, but what makes it even more unberable is living it everyday, in memories and such.
Personally I liked the prevalence of the sh sound it to me sounded like the silence she heard which turned to harder consonant sounds become real.
I coud just be over analysing, but I thought I'd talk about structure as well in case reviews just based on feeling, might not be enough aha not sure, but either way very nice
