Impatiently CruelA Poem by Frank F. AtanacioIf he can’t have her, That obsession still haunted, his intensity frightened her, his anger flaunted, he was possessive, passionate, dominate, impatiently cruel, his way, his rule, he held a mixture of humiliation and hatred over her head, not a kind word ever said, she was caged and enraged by fear, her past erased, her death, near, and she’ll vanish without a trace, she grasped for breath, but it became less and less, and to want to hold on to life so much she had not dreamed possible, violently she drowned, he covered his tracks, and then he left town, no media, no whispers, no sound. no one can! © 2009 Frank F.
