Life Was Perfectly Concealed

Life Was Perfectly Concealed

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

Murder, death, sadness

"

It was quick, he felt no pain,

blood was all over the place,

dripping and causing stains,

medics refrained from touching his face,

a needless murder, what a disgrace,

life left just like that,

death came on contact,

the bullet entered the right side of his head,

killed him instantly,

now he’s dead,

in a pool of blood he was found,

a birthday card for his wife on the ground,

one gift she’d soon forget,

one day he would have lived to regret,

no devil came to offer him a deal,

in death, life was perfectly concealed.
