He stood in chains, shackles and with certain doom, but it all turned around and it made him smile, a stunned courtroom, and a crazy trial, as common sense tried to quiz the jurors, but failed, and insanity was set free, and no one standing to hail. That evil man snarled and made everyone's skin crawl, he enjoyed it as he watched human kindness fall, and because of doubt, he was to be freed and to be set on his way, only the anger, the fear, were allowed to stay, for this madman, this thief, this murderer-- took away the only parent this family had, six children all under twelve lost in gloom, forever sad, because of what happened in that courtroom, and now gone is the only parent they ever knew, a sad future and what could they possibly do? Scream, yell, cast out demons, and throw fits or shout, no matter what you think is right that went wrong, he was freed on a single doubt...
