A lament for that long lost smile

A lament for that long lost smile

A Poem by Ash

Days have gone by,
No,
Years have gone by.
From the love poems of a young Pablo,
I still remember you leaning into the afternoons,
I still remember you as you were,
I still remember you.
Ha you who are silent !
Is it just the nostalgia that haunts me ?
As you never really noticed back then,
Maybe you did,
I wish you did,
I hope you did.

No one actually sees him,
Its his superpower, his shield.
And you were a dryad,
Carrying the voice of the forest,
Dancing like a slow breeze through the wind mills.
Then I saw you smile,
Once by those rusty black gates.
And there was a pinch in my heart,
A pinch I has since been searching for.
I know you won't remember me,
I hope you won't remember me,
As I want to keep searching,
And searching, and searching.
With these colored glasses of the past.
Days have gone by,
Years have gone by,
Yes,
Yes.
