Falling Out

Falling Out

A Poem by Astro MacGuffin
"

I'm sixteen years older than this now, but it remains of primary relevance. It's somewhat intended that this (Healing 2) be read before Coming Back to Life (Healing 1), but optional.

"
Falling Out
the seperation happened
nothing horrid, just the way
and we both agreed to have it
that's the way it had to be
i just could not live a moment
past that moment that we shared
with the things we had together
and the things they meant to him
and i wanted nothing of it
and he wanted everything
and i wanted to defend him
blindly hiding him within
and he stayed and was so silent
and we didn't keep in touch
and i went on, never living
that's the way it had to be
and i wondered ever idly
did he like it in his box?
and i never called at christmans
or when things went straight to pot
ever on was the agreement
and i never lost control
my old friend was safely hidden
life had ended, that was all
and sometimes i grew to miss him
when the flowers came to bloom
i would think how much he loved them
but for that there was not room
my old friend was always patient
my old friend has never died
and old friendships heal completely
fondest memories transcend time
three years waiting, here inside me
and i crave his heart again
time to end this cursed contract
time to cry, and time to mend.
