Summer's End

Summer's End

A Poem by Astro Annie
"

What do you do when your own true love goes off and leaves you? You write about it.

"

We used to spend hours just being together.

And I felt quite honored you called me your friend.

Along came September and you started school--

Our summer together had drawn to an end.

I cannot describe just how deeply I miss you

By merely recounting the tears that I've cried.

You have not the time nor attention to give me.

You told me you loved me then cast me aside.

Summer romances are something I am very familiar with... Ah... Pain. This is a greatly described heartache. I love it so. Especially the last line...
It sets the tone of how quickly it started aand howquickly it was over. GOod work!
