"

Meeting the clique

"
They were beautiful.
All five of them stood side by side. The wore different styles and yet looked so similar, they had the same ethereal beauty I hadn't noticed on Daisy alone. Daisy grinned at me as she watched me take it all in.
"Guys, this is May. I want her to join us, our group."
Apart from Skye, who smiled, they all stared at me with cold expressions. I felt like an intruder, an outsider. Daisy glanced at us all, taking in the tension.
"Well, time to introduce you all! This is Cal!"
She gestured towards the boy on the far right, nearest her. He raised his hand in a lazy greeting, showing clear indifference towards me. At least it's not hate.  He looked like he belonged in a 70s rock band, like Sid Vicious himself. He had black unruly hair, sticking out at every angle, as if he was constantly raking his hands through it. He was sporting a black leather jacket over a plain black shirt, black ripped jeans and combat boots. In a scruffy way, he was beautiful; and he knew it, if his sickening smirk was anything to go by.
"You obviously know Skye," Daisy carried on, gesturing to the dark skinned girl stood next to Cal. She wore a witchy dress, as if it had been torn right off of Stevie Nicks. It was flowy, airy, with long draping sleeves that fell to the ground. The material itself was a silky black, that dipped at her neck, creating a v shaped plunge neckline. It fell right to her feet, she honestly looked like a witch.
I felt my hand being lifted as a blonde boy leant in to kiss it.
"Jaspar Laurence, charmed I'm sure."
Over his head I saw Skye glowering at us, until she caught my gaze and smiled. I wasn't sure I wanted to get involved in whatever was happening between them, no matter how pretty Jaspar was.
And he was so pretty. His dirty blonde curls fell to his sharp jawline, his face had a sharp structure, his cheekbones were high and prominent. His hazel green eyes were fixed bewitchingly on me, his mouth raised in a half smile that suggested, not unlike Cal, he was aware of his beauty. Though he seemed more polite. He was wearing a black sweater over a white and grey button up shirt. He too had black jeans on, paired with dark brown hiking boots. He gestured at the girl standing next to him.
"This is my twin sister, Aurel."
I turned to smile at her but every thought left my head as soon as I caught sight of her. She was beautiful . She had long ebony hair that framed her pale face. Her face was delicate, almost like a doll. Usually such a sullen look would mar such beauty, but it gave her mystery. Her deep green eyes were accentuated by dark eye makeup, and her lips were painted a reddish brown. She scowled at me as she smoothed down her white tennis skirt, she was also wearing fishnet tights and a black crop top with a hanging lace fringe, covered by a black Adidas jacket with white stripes running down the sleeves.  She must be naturally tall, her black chunky heeled boots made her taller than Jasper, who was at a guess, was over 6 foot.
She stalked over to my bed and gracefully sat down on the pale green covers. Staring at her boots as she twirled them on their heels. Daisy and Cal were rummaging for something under her bed but I couldn't take my eyes off of Aurel. I sat next to her, desperate to speak.
"So, we have social studies together..." I trailed off, I wanted to start a conversation with her but I had nothing interesting to say. She stared at me blankly, clearly not taking the hook. Luckily, Daisy had reappeared with a large crate.
"I've been saving these for a special occasion, and what could be more special than welcoming our new friend?"
I couldn't help but blush, I was accepted, they welcomed me. Well, except Aurel. Jasper was staring bemusedly at Daisy, his head tilted to one side like a dog wanting a treat.
"So, what have you been saving?" He chuckled, it seemed that Daisy was always full of surprises.
Cal smiled proudly, puffing up his chest and stepping forward.
"My special recipe, we're playing 'truth or shot' tonight!" He smirked at Aurel, who's eyes had widened considerably. Something told me that there was more to this than just a friendly game.
