Tidals of Dilemma

Tidals of Dilemma

A Poem by Astraeaa

You were just like the sea
All silver, waves and vision I cannot see
I was bewildered with how you felt in my skin
The way you touch the  gleams of sun and moon
And the smell of salt waters halt my mind in ease
Every timeless touch of your wave to the sand
Comes with the blinding sound of peace

It makes me wonder how I couldn't  do it"
To swim under your breathless blues and bliss
Just to reach in your depths of wonders
Embracing your every darkest and heavenly fires
Yet, to be with you takes a lot of risk
You were a sight  that hides a storm beneath
A strange sight I longed to grasp for eternity
But risk are the things I cannot manifest

I really enjoyed this and found it spilled out from over the page ( of iPhone screen of whatever)…

Is your moniker from the name of the goddess Astraea, Meaning "star-maiden" or "starry night"

all the best

Fantastic metaphors used in this poem, the waves taking on almost a three dimensional state of lost love. The sadness shown as the deep dark place in the ocean, where evidently you cannot go, nor do you want this. It seems to be too risky to take this darkness head on. Even though your wave (love) comes with peace, "I wonder why I couldn't do it"..... really lovely.
