Your Acidic Kiss

Your Acidic Kiss

A Poem by Celestine Astraea Firestorm

Your acidic kiss invades my mouth

Spreads into my veins, a disease

Your love's lethal injection

I can't help but yearn for the next fix

Like the silver bullet entering the wolf
Paralyzing me from the neck down
An addiction I never want to terminate
The high I can’t want to get rid of

A kiss such as this is one that "zings" the body, heart and soul!
Well described - such power in this kiss!
Good choice of title!

I'm feeling this piece in the moment, for myself. I love to read a piece of writing that says something I have trouble defining within my own mind. It is that one kiss, that grabs hold sometimes that can affect our lives in ways we never want to admit can completely take us. Its the love of them, the loathing and the fear as well as the craving that warrants the inspiration for a fine piece like this one to remind us the power of something so innocent or not so innocent, so simple, or not so simple as a kiss. Thanks for posting this at Cloak and Dagger.

Yes, a kiss can be addictive and you express that addiction quite well.
