I was wrong. -Fuechy Kue

I was wrong. -Fuechy Kue

A Poem by AssonanceWriter

I ought to have stayed away from you that night rather than discover that you have another man back at home.

I initially believed that there wouldn't be any problems.

Since I had no space for love,

I was wrong.

When I finally tasted those lips, I was captivated.

I hate that I want you.

I hate the sense of anticipation that comes with every late arrival from you.

I hate when you utter his name.

When you're with me, I give you complete access.

I want you to be just as absorbed in me as you are in him-if not more.

You possess such powers to make me feel unwanted

I want you to give me your affection.

I give you permission to touch me, consume me, and make every inch of me yours.

But if it’s the same way that you give it to him, then I don’t want it.

As strangers with such a foul attitude and uninterested disposition.

I convinced myself that my fixation on you was not love but a fantasy.

In our wildest ecstasy, you’re the one who is confined, but in reality, the shackles are on me.

I was beginning to get used to being the person that you needed.

I became careless.

The day is now extending into the night.

Additionally, you no longer show up.

It is suffocating to be the substitute.

Were all of those moments only real to me?

The way you smile at him, you'll never smile at me.

I'm no longer that person that you wake up next to.

I ought to have stayed away from you that night rather than discover that you have another man back at home.

I initially believed that there wouldn't be any problems.

Since I had no space for love,

I was wrong.
