Invisible Men

I am experimenting with this style of writing.

Invisible men watching,

Watching everyone of us.

Invisible men listening,

Listening to everything we say.

 

Although we cannot see them,

They can see us all.

Although we cannot hear them,

They can hear us all.

 

Invisible men recording,

Recording all that we do.

They are everywhere we go.

They know everything we are going to do.

 

Reporting and documenting,

Keeping files of us all.

Type your name into the system.

Up pops all your information.

EVERYTHING!

Ah, how Orwellian of you. I like how your repitition increases the whole paranoid sense of the poem. Your imagery is a little sparse, however, so you might want to jazz up this work with a bit more concrete images. Other than that, good job.

Sounds like the Patriot Act to me. ^^ I'm pretty certain, judging by what you've told me, that a lot of this has pure truth. The government's just being a little paranoid... just like the tone of this piece. The narrator's voice makes the reader feel a little paranoid just reading it. No one likes being watched. lol

I like this style you're experimenting with. It's sounds a lot like a song... probably would fit into the "political band" type. lol
