Devoid of the Last Traces of Calm
The final remnants of peace slip away, The last quiet moments, now led astray. Sweat upon my neck, thoughts flood like streams, A torrent of twisted veins, my silent screams. The last of the last prophetic sighs, Hope of return beneath darker skies. A wave clears my vein, then fades with the tide, And when it recedes, nothing does abide.
