Rejection Overload

Rejection Overload

A Poem by Vincent Asmodeus
"

Yet another old poem...

"

Waiting for something to happen,
He sits and stares blankly
as if the screen would understand...
Understand his longing, his tears,
help him in his anguish,
through his fears.

Yet nothing happens, the backlight dies
flickering an image before drowning in darkness.
The tears flood his fingers,
grasping onto keys for dear life,
causing the screen to live once more and reveal
that which caused strife.

They both shut down.
